ITINERARY
Arrive in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s vibrant capital. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy free time to rest or explore. Stay: Hotel in Tashkent (Check-in from 14:00)
Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of Tashkent, visiting: Khast-Imam Complex and the world-famous Quran of Caliph Uthman. Chorsu Bazaar, a bustling marketplace. Tashkent Metro and the Applied Arts Museum. Evening flight to Nukus (18:05 – 19:45). Stay: Hotel in Nukus
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Karakalpakstan State Museum of Art (Savitsky Museum). Drive to Khiva (200 km, 4-5 hours), stopping at: Chilpyk-Kala, a Zoroastrian "Tower of Silence." Toprak-Kala, the ancient capital of Khorezm. Check-in and rest. Stay: Hotel in Khiva
Guided walking tour of Ichan-Kala Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting: Juma Mosque, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, and Islom Khodja Minaret. Evening cooking masterclass to make tukhumbarak (egg dumplings). Stay: Hotel in Khiva Meals: Dinner
Drive to Bukhara (480 km, 7-8 hours), following the Silk Road through the Kyzylkum Desert. Stop to admire views of the Amudarya River. Arrive in Bukhara in the late afternoon. Stay: Hotel in Bukhara
Full-day guided walking tour of Bukhara’s Old City, including: Kalyan Minaret, Chor-Minor Madrasah, and Ark Fortress. Ismail Samani Mausoleum and Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble. Stay: Hotel in Bukhara
Visit the Sitorai-Mokhikhosa Palace, the last emir’s summer residence. Free time in the afternoon to explore or shop. Evening traditional puppet show. Stay: Hotel in Bukhara
Depart for the Kyzylkum Desert (230 km, 4 hours). En route, stop at: Gijduvan Pottery Workshop for a masterclass. Chashma Complex in Nurata, home to a famous holy spring. Arrive at the yurt camp, enjoy a camel ride, and relax by the campfire with Kazakh folk music. Stay: Yurt camp in the desert Meals: Dinner
Visit Aidarkul Lake for a picnic lunch. Drive to Samarkand (270 km, 5 hours). Stay: Hotel in Samarkand Meals: Picnic lunch
Guided tour of Samarkand, visiting: Registan Square, Gur Emir Mausoleum, and Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis. Traditional paper-making in Konigil Village. Free evening. Stay: Hotel in Samarkand
