ITINERARY
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Jaldapara for your overnight stay near the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary.
After breakfast, drive to the Indo-Bhutan border town of Phuentsholing. After immigration formalities, meet your Bhutanese guide and continue your journey to Paro. En route, visit Zangtopelri Lhakhang in Phuentsholing. Overnight: Hotel Olathang, Paro
After an early breakfast, embark on a memorable hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff 914 meters above the valley. Overnight: Hotel Olathang, Paro
Visit Kyichu Lhakhang and Rinpung Dzong, followed by the National Museum at Ta Dzong. Drive to Haa over Chelela Pass (3,988 m), offering views of Mt. Jhomolhari and Jichu Drakey, weather permitting. Overnight: Hotel Lhayul, Haa
Explore Lhakhang Karpo and Lhakhang Nagpo, then continue to Thimphu. Visit the Takin Preserve and Tashichho Dzong in the evening. Overnight: Himalayan Keys Forest Resort, Thimphu
Visit Memorial Chorten and Buddha Dordenma before crossing Dochula Pass (10,500 ft) to Punakha. Visit Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang. Overnight: Zhingkham Resort, Punakha
A scenic drive brings you to the Phobjikha Valley. Check-in and relax amidst pristine nature. Overnight: Hotel Yueloki, Gangtey
Travel via Pelela and Yotong La passes, with stops at Trongsa Dzong. Reach the spiritual heartland of Bumthang and explore key monasteries if time permits. Overnight: Hotel Ugyenling, Bumthang
Drive through the lush Thrumshingla National Park and alpine meadows. Cross Thrumshing La (3,750 m) before descending into subtropical forest. Overnight: Wangchuk Hotel, Mongar
Journey to the easternmost district of Trashigang. Marvel at the spectacular Dzong before reaching your lodge. Overnight: Lingkhar Lodge, Trashigang
Optional morning village walk to Khapti. Later, drive through remote eastern landscapes to Samdrup Jongkhar, Bhutan’s southeastern border town. Overnight: Hotel Yoezer, Samdrup Jongkhar
After clearing Bhutanese immigration, re-enter India and continue to Guwahati Airport for your onward flight. Experience the dramatic change in culture and landscape as you descend from Bhutan’s mountains into Assam’s plains.
